CPT Panel Rotator – Panel turner with motorized double cone

CPT Panel Rotator is a double-cone motorized panel turner which can rotate panels by 90° coming from the previous machine in a longitudinal or transverse direction.
The machine is suitable for working in line with classic operating machines, such as squaring machines, sanders, edge banders, drilling machines, etc. Both cones are powered by gearmotors controlled by inverters. The cones are covered with rubber so as to protect the surface of the pieces during rotations. The rotation is also facilitated by retractable bars with idle wheels, positioned between the rollers of the infeed conveyor. This system avoids excessive friction between pieces and rollers, preserving the finishing of surfaces from damage. PR is easily adjustable through a handwheel of the guide which aligns the panels at the infeed. The upper cone also has a manual adjustment to suit its positioning to the thickness of the incoming pieces. The lower cone can be disconnected pneumatically from its position, in order to have the pieces move forward if not rotated; in this case PR functions as a normal conveyor.
